
David is a graduate of the cinematography department at Famu ( The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague ).
He has previously worked on numerous short films, music videos and commercials. At the intersection of narrative film and commercial, project Brontosaurus in Himalaya directed by Marek Partys won gold award at Ciclope
festival in 2020.
In David’s work the main focus is on narrative film. One of them was selected for the Cannes Film Festival’s Cinéfondation section in 2019 (One Hundred and Twenty-Eight Thousand, directed by Ondřej Erban), another short film won prize at the Czech Lion Awards 2021 for best short film and was selected for the IFF Karlovy Vary Future frames selection in 2020 (Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon, directed by Adam Martinec). David is currently working on his first feature film Grand Prix with director Jan Prušinovský.
His work is influenced by skateboarding culture and street background, which slightly permeates into artistic creation.
